Battle Mountain sits right off I-80 between Winnemucca and Elko in Nevada’s historic “Cowboy Corridor.” This retro town offers thousands of acres of BLM land perfect for OHV exploration.

The area also features rich cultural history — from Northern Paiute and Shoshone artifacts to early fur trappers and 1860s copper miners whose operations continue today. Battle Mountain also hosts the annual World Human Powered Speed Challenge.
Nearby Copper Basin offers excellent non-motorized mountain biking trails (see separate map for details). The Shoshone OHV area is another fun nearby option.
