Dead Man Springs - Rated 3

This route is located near Spring Canyon Road and approaches the site of Deadman Springs, which includes a now-nonfunctional stock reservoir. The name originates from an 1890s incident in which two cowboys discovered a deceased cowhand at the springs. Portions of the trail were previously used (about 20 years ago) as the initial segments of what became the Secret Spire trail. It has since been developed into a scenic, moderate four-wheel-drive route. Scenery Offers views into the upper reaches of Spring Canyon, a major drainage system. The route passes notable formations including the Twins, Queens Rock, and Deadman Springs Waterfall (DMS Waterfall). Surface Primarily easy rock and dirt sections, with occasional ledges, attention-demanding descents, areas of slickrock, and stretches of sand. Trail Details As a lower-rated, easier trail, it currently features no formally named obstacles in its early years of documented use. Challenging spots are typically identified over time by participants, with names often derived from a person or vehicle that encounters difficulty at a particular feature. Future users may contribute to naming any emerging obstacles on this route. Length: 90 total, 32 off highway Min Tire Size: stock Winch: No Front Locker: No Rear Locker: No
