Cruising along the main Egan Crest ridge offers spectacular panoramic views of the massive Ruth Copper Pit and the broad valley below. The trails consist of a nice mix of single-track paths and signed two-track roads. The system is open to hiking, mountain biking, equestrian use, motorcycles, and ATVs.
While some trails are not as well maintained as others, most are clearly signed with difficulty ratings, loop names, and allowed uses.
Just north of Garnet Hill Recreation Area and directly east of the Egan Crest trails lies an additional well-maintained trail network. These connecting trails feature stunning views of the Schell Creek Mountain Range and offer numerous dispersed camping sites throughout the area. Combined, the Egan Crest and Garnet Hill areas provide enough fun and variety to keep riders busy for several days. The trails are accessible and enjoyable for people of all skill levels.
Amenities
