Hells Revenge - Rated 6

Hells Revenge - Rated 6

This premier slickrock trail is located northeast of Moab, between Sand Flats Road and the Colorado River. It features long marked stretches of slickrock. While the most difficult obstacles exceed stock-vehicle capability, bypasses are available. The route includes steep climbs and descents with significant exposure, though the excellent sandstone traction reduces technical difficulty. In places, it crosses the popular Slickrock Bike Trail (mountain bike/motorcycle route). Scenery Offers sweeping 360-degree vistas from the La Sal Mountains and Arches National Park to the cliff rims above Moab Valley. The immediate area features dramatic bare sandstone expanses, clefts, canyons, and views into the Colorado River canyon. Surface Primarily slickrock, with rock ledges, broken rock, sand, and occasional blow sand. Trail Details Begins with a challenging initial ascent requiring momentum to climb and composure amid drops on both sides. The main slickrock section features steep climbs, sharp turns, and a steep, narrow ridge descent with minimal margin for error. Later portions include named obstacles such as “Tip Over Challenge” and “Rubble Trouble,” highlighting the continued technical demands. Length: 16 total, 12 off highway Min Tire Size: 35+ inches Winch: No, Front Locker: Yes, Rear Locker: Yes
