Description
Lincoln County is a paradise for OHV riders, offering a vast and interconnected web of trails that weave through dramatic washes, open valleys, forested ridgelines, and wide sagebrush steppe. This extensive network provides endless opportunities for exploration across one of Nevada’s most scenic and historic regions.
The county is home to the Basin and Range National Monument, four state parks, numerous ghost towns, and spectacular geologic formations. Northern trails give access to the Wilson Creek Mountains, Echo Dam, Spring Valley State Park, and the Panaca Hills area.
South of Caliente, a large system of signed roads maintained with help from the Kokopelli OHV Club (based in Mesquite) creates reliable connections suitable for full-size 4WD vehicles all the way to Mesquite and back.
Other Information
While some roadways can be navigated by passenger vehicles, rugged and changing conditions often require high-clearance and 4-wheel drive. Weather events can quickly make routes impassable, so always check with local land managers for current conditions and any closures before heading out.
Motor vehicles are permitted on designated routes only. This expansive trail system delivers a perfect mix of adventure, history, and stunning desert scenery for riders of all experience levels.
A fantastic destination for multi-day explorations or memorable day trips through southern Nevada’s beautiful backcountry.
