Lincoln Mine - Beaver UT

Lincoln Mining District & Jacks Peak History Ride (Intermediate, 60 miles, All Widths) Staging: Beaver, UT Step back in time on this fascinating ride through Utah’s very first lead mining district — the historic Lincoln Mining District. You’ll get a short, interesting history lesson along the way as we explore the area where mining first began in Utah. A highlight is the Creole Mine, where you can stand right at the entrance and watch crystal-clear water still pouring out of the tunnel — the result of early miners accidentally hitting a major underground aquifer over a century ago. We’ll stop at the pleasant Minersville town park with restrooms and plenty of space to relax and grab lunch. Then it’s up to Jacks Peak for a stunning panoramic overlook of the vast Milford Flat below — a perfect photo-op spot. This ride is a longtime favorite with both locals and visitors because it perfectly blends history, scenery, and just enough adventure. The route is mostly moderately easy, following old mining roads through the southern tip of the Mineral Mountains, narrow bladed and rough unmaintained tracks, plus some newly cut ATV trails that neatly connect everything. You’ll also ride sections of maintained county roads and classic jeep trails. Expect a few short intermediate challenges: tight boulder-strewn washes and a couple of semi-steep, slippery hill climbs that add a bit of fun without being overwhelming. Difficulty: Intermediate (mostly easy with a few short intermediate sections) Distance: 60 miles Machine Width: All widths welcome Trailhead: Beaver, UT
