This punchy 23-mile round-trip ride up the iconic 05 Paiute Trail is the perfect choice. You’ll climb straight up the dramatic “face” above Beaver to Lookout Point, where the view of the entire valley unfolding below is absolutely incredible — one of the best panoramas in the area. On a clear day, it’s jaw-dropping. The trail starts rugged right away and stays that way as you cross the Table Grounds bench, climbing from pinyon-juniper foothills into mahogany and oak brush, eventually reaching dense pine forests at higher elevation. Even though the mileage is short, the scenery and terrain make it feel like a full adventure. This is a very rugged trail with steep climbs and technical sections, so it’s rated Intermediate — best for riders who are comfortable on challenging ground. Plenty of time left afterward to explore what else Beaver has to offer in town!
