You’ll start in pinyon-juniper foothills, then climb into rolling hills and canyons blanketed with mahogany. The route winds from lower Bear Valley through scenic Dog Valley and into Upper Dog Valley, passing wide-open sagebrush hills that give you that wide-open Western feel. You’ll leave Beaver on smooth county roads before transitioning onto rugged jeep trails. Expect several steep, rocky hill climbs and exposed ridgeline trails that deliver big views and keep things interesting. Because the terrain can get quite rugged and a little treacherous in spots, this is not a ride for novices — it’s best suited for riders with solid experience and confidence on technical trails.
