While much of the flat valley floor belongs to the Fallon Naval Air Station and is closed to the public, the mountains and foothills encircling Dixie Valley provide hundreds of miles of exciting off-road riding. Expect classic Basin and Range scenery with wide valleys, dramatic mountain ranges, canyons, and sweeping ridgeline views. Middlegate Station offers a unique and welcoming basecamp with a bar, restaurant, mini-mart for snacks and supplies, and free overnight camping.
