This epic loop takes you on a journey through time as you cross the Bald Ridges south of Beaver and drop down into the beautiful Parowan Valley. One of the highlights is Cottonwood Wash — a blast of fun where a small stream winds through a sandy wash, creating deep, playful rut crossings that will have everyone grinning and splashing their way through. You’ll make a refreshing stop at Kane Springs and cruise past the striking Little Salt Lake before reaching the ancient sandstone where you can explore real dinosaur tracks — footprints left by massive creatures millions of years ago. The grand finale is the world-famous Parowan Gap Petroglyphs. This incredible site features hundreds of ancient rock carvings left by Native American peoples, Spanish explorers, and later pioneers. With interpretive panels, benches, and a shaded pavilion, it’s the perfect place to learn the cultural stories and significance behind the art while soaking in the history. The ride winds through classic pinyon-juniper hills and high-desert sagebrush country on two-track roads, with a few rocky hill climbs and rugged washes that add just the right amount of excitement. Most of the route is straightforward and enjoyable, with only a couple of mildly challenging spots.
