This vast, rolling terrain was reshaped years ago by wildfire, leaving behind an untamed landscape of open hills and dramatic vistas that feel truly remote. The real showstopper comes when you crest the Bald Ridges — the views of the sweeping Parowan Valley far below are absolutely breathtaking. It’s one of those moments where you stop, shut off the machine, and just soak it all in. This unique high-desert country is also prime habitat for mule deer and other wildlife, so keep your eyes sharp — sightings are common. The trail gets its fierce name from the jagged, unforgiving terrain of Rattlesnake Ridge itself. Expect mostly two-track roads carved through treacherous rocky sections, including long boulder fields and a few steep, technical climbs that will test your skills and your machine. This is hands-down one of our more advanced-level rides — not for the faint of heart, but incredibly rewarding for riders who love a solid challenge mixed with stunning scenery.
