Orange Trail - Green River - Emery CO UT

The Orange Trail loop is about 71 miles round trip and will take about 6.5 hours. Parking is available in Green River Either at the city park (200N Main) or where we parked at Hasting Rd and Main St. The trail leaves Green River near the old 'White Sands Missile range' launch facility south of Interstate 70. The Orange Trail covers a lot of ground, intersecting with many side trails so options to explore are nearly endless. The trail leads to White Sands dunes and skirts the west edge of the sand. It is an easy ride into the dunes if you want to play. Roads are mostly well maintained gravel, some sand and a few rocky spots and washes. High clearance and 4wd are recommended. We rode the trail in a 50" Polaris RZR though the trails are no width restrictions.
